1. A USAF Veteran: "Save Me a Place on the
Bridge to the Future"
TEXAS, Apr. 12 - No sooner did we publish last night then a call came by the US Navy
veteran flyer, Capt. Richard Davidson, for American volunteers to fight for Serbia against
NATO (see Day 19, Update 1, Item 3, Apr. 11), several U.S.
veterans have already written to us today wondering how they could sign up. Here is, for
example, a letter we received from Louis R. Beam of Texas:
"Greetings Sir. I am a disabled Vietnam veteran and
holder of the Distinguished Flying Cross with 18 months combat service in the Republic of
Vietnam. I wish to volunteer for service in Serbia to aid this truly brave people in their
just struggle for their land, families and Christian faith.
I have been completely awed by their devout defense of their
bridge with their own bodies. Truly this will go down in the history books as a great
moment for mankind!
Please help me and other Americans who feel as I do get to Serbia
as soon as possible. We wish to fight with the Serbian people against the murdering likes
of Clinton. We wish to fight for Christianity and against the godless destroyers of our
faith.
America does need to be involved in Serbia! (We should be)
fighting with the Serbian people against the New World Order.
Please, please have them save me
a place on the bridge to the future, there in Belgrade. A
bridge that will allow Americans, Serbs, Russians and all good men to come together
against the evil in this world.
I truly want to go. I have my passport. Can you get permission
from the Yugoslav government for me to enter as a 'Texas Volunteer?' I will plant the flag
of the great State of Texas there on that bridge, and join with those brave people in
their struggle for liberty and freedom. Standing on that bridge with all those wonderful
brave Serbs will be one way of showing the Serbian people that many Americans are
supporting them in their fight against the criminal, illegal acts of Clinton and his mad
bombers in the Pentagon.
You should ask the Yugoslav government to make arrangements for
others like me to come also. Tell them to set up an international camp there on the
bridge. Let us fly the flags of all our various countries. Make this bridge a "peace
bridge" between men of good will.
There is a wonderful opportunity here to turn the tide of evil
propaganda directed against the Serbian nation!
God Bless You Sir. I anxiously await my departure date."
---
TiM Ed.: We replied to Mr. Beam and other volunteers that we are investigating the
logistics, and would get back to them as soon as we find out what they are. In the
meantime, we have set up a special TiM e-mail address for this purpose. Americans and
other patriots around the world interested in volunteering for Serbia can write to us at: PATRIOTS@TRUTHINMEDIA.ORG. Please provide your
full name, address and phone so that we can verify the authenticity of each e-mail. Thank
you.

2. Viperfox on Alverson: "We Are All
Serbs!"
TUCSON, Apr. 12 - Jonathan Cummings, the author of "The
Beginning of the End" (see Day 19, Update 1, Item 6, Apr. 11),
sent us an instant reaction to today's piece by an American journalist who now makes his
home in Serbia, Charles Alverson (see Day
20, Update 1, Item 4, Apr. 12):
"I enjoyed that post (Day 20,
Update 1, Item 4, Apr. 12), especially Charles Alverson's piece. That one hit home
and exemplifies the human side that most of the mongrels in the media will never reveal.
In principle and spirit, actually, those of us who are against
this insanity, are all Serbs. This is one Scottish-American who would be proud to stand in
the trenches with them."
---
TiM Ed.: Indeed. As we said in Day 10, Update 2, Item 5 (Apr.
2), when downtown Belgrade was first bombed, "from this day forward,
Belgrade is the capital of the Free World. And Washington is seat of the Evil Empire."

3. Solzhenitsyn Lashes Out at NATO
MOSCOW, Apr. 8 - The former Soviet dissident, Alexander Solzhenitsyn, celebrated in the
West while he was opposing the communist tyranny, has now spoken out against the new
oppressor of free people - NATO. The renowned Russian writer lashed out at NATO on Apr. 8
in his first public comment on the bombing of Serbia, the Associated Press reported:
"Casting off the United Nations and its charter, NATO is imposing on the whole
world and the next century an ancient law ... whoever's strongest is right,'' Solzhenitsyn
was quoted as saying by the ITAR-Tass news agency. "In the eyes of humanity, a
wonderful European country is being destroyed, and civilized governments are applauding.''

4. Marching Toward WW III (By a former NATO
planner)
OHIO, Apr. 12 - Walt Davis "is especially knowledgeable and credible about NATO
and the related European military planning," wrote a TiM reader, Mr. Davis' friend,
in his introductory letter to us today. That's because he had spent six years in the
"war planning business," as Mr. Davis puts it himself, four of them with NATO.
Here's what he had to say about the current situation, ominously echoing some of our
earlier warnings - that Clinton's continued wanton war on Serbia to "save face"
(of the NWO and NATO) may explode into a WW III:
"I'm glad someone is as scared about this as I am. I have
been very active in contacting congressmen and media people - e.g. Chris Matthews, Bill
Safire, Charles Krauthammer.
As you know, I spent 6 years in the war plans business - four of
them in NATO. We constantly monitored the Soviet communications, both public and
government/military. For 50 years, the Soviets told the Russian people and their Warsaw
Pact "partner" countries that NATO was an aggressor force to be feared. Now,
with us occupying Bosnia for God knows how long, and us now bombing the hell out of
Yugoslavia, we have proved them right.
We should not have done this. The short term view is that it is
totally wrong to have attacked a sovereign country.
But, I am really worried about the long term view. We have scared
the hell out of our former Cold War enemies, and we are driving them together. We may even
push China toward an anti-NATO posture, aligned with the former Soviet countries.
We will see nuclear stockpiles grow rapidly now. Russia and China
will probably arm more countries like Iran, North Korea, etc., and sooner or later, all
hell will break loose.
A big problem we always had in the NATO planning circles was
keeping the allies together, especially Greece, and often the Turks. Obviously, France
turned away from NATO some years before. Now, NATO is more divided than ever. Italy is
very scared about this situation.
In trying to create a legacy, and divert the media from the China
spy treason, Clinton has: 1. Splintered NATO, 2. Consolidated our once fragmented enemies,
3. Broken international law and the NATO Charter by attacking a sovereign country; and, 4.
Started the slide toward WW III.
If the bombing stopped today, our kids and grandkids (if not we)
will suffer under the nuclear spectre. The damage is done.
We should immediately sit down with the Russians, and broker a
cease fire with them involved. We can only blunt the damage that has been done in the
strategic sense by solving this war WITH the Ruskies playing a role, with a stake in the
solution. God knows, they are willing."
Walt Davis, Ohio
---
TiM Ed.: Following our subsequent contact with Mr. Davis to verify the authenticity of
the above comment, and to get his permission to run it, this former NATO war planner also
added:
"We cannot live with this outrage just because a lot of
bleeding hearts see only the refugees, and condone this attack on Yugoslavia. If someone
could portray the long term, critically dangerous consequences of what we've done, the
popularity of this attack would disappear.
I am in touch with some military people now in the Middle East.
They know this is wrong, and they are very demoralized by what our leaders have done. I
know one top soldier who is resigning as soon as he gets home. Too bad for us."

5. Thumbs Down on Clinton's Kosovo Handling:
82% of Readers
LOS ANGELES, Apr. 12 - A TiM reader from the Los Angeles area reports today that the
Daily News, the second largest paper in the second largest U.S. city, posed the following
question to its readers last Friday (Apr. 9):
"Do you have confidence in President Clinton's ability to deal with the Kosovo
crisis?"
Out of 1,434 responses which the paper received, 82% said "NO," and 18%
replied "YES."
---
TiM Ed.: And just think... that's how the people think in the Democrats' back yard! The
Clinton administration's government has clearly ceased being a government of the people,
by the people and for the people. As Gen. Dwight Eisenhower once said when he was
President, "I think we've flogged this horse enough. Let's get a new one."

6. About 1,000 Mujahideens Killed by Serb
Forces? (Stratfor)
AUSTIN, Apr. 12 - The Austin, Texas-based Stratfor Internet newsletter reported this
afternoon that some 1,000 mujahideens (Islamic "holy" warriors, i.e., foreign
mercenaries) were killed by the Serb forces in Kosovo over the weekend, as they attempted
to launch an attack from the Albanian side of the border. "The attack was allegedly
an attempt to create a salient for the KLA, which could be supported by NATO air strikes
and reinforced by the KLA and Albanian Army troops," Stratfor said.
"We have no additional evidence or corroborating reports to back up this claim,
but aside from the numbers involved, it does seem plausible. There have long been reports
from multiple sources that Islamic mercenaries have assisted the KLA, and the Albanian
government is pressing hard to turn the tide on the ground in Kosovo such that the
possibility of Kosovo independence is not negotiated away by NATO."

7. Truth Alone Is Not Enough? (By Heli North)
MINNESOTA, Apr. 11 - We received the following comment from Heli North, a TiM reader in
Minnesota, "a soon-to-be-free state," as this reader put it. "'Our' new
governor, Jesse (the mind) Ventura is trying to break this state away from the 'NWO'
socialists, but needs some guidance, since his awareness of the subject is minimal, and
his knowledge of what he is up against is very limited; however, he is listening:"
"Bob, this battle for truth is not new. Here is an
outline of the problem as recent as 1953:
John Swinton, called by his peers "The Dean of his
Profession", was the former Chief of Staff for the New York Times. He was asked to
give a talk before the Twilight Club of New York on April 12, 1883.
He is quoted as follows:
'There is no such thing, at this date of the world's history, in
America, as an independent press. You know it and I know it. There is not one of you who
dares to write your honest opinions, and if you did, you know beforehand that it would
never appear in print. I am paid weekly for keeping my honest opinion out of the paper I
am connected with. Others of you are paid similar weekly salaries for similar things, and
any of you who would be so foolish as to write honest opinions would be out on the streets
looking for another job. If I allowed my honest opinions to appear in one issue of my
paper, before twenty-four hours my occupation would be gone. The business of the
journalist is to destroy the truth; to lie outright; to pervert; to vilify; to fawn at the
feet of mammon, and to sell his country and his race for his daily bread. You know it and
I know it, and what folly is this toasting an independent press? We are the tools and
vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are the jumping jacks, they pull the strings and
we dance. Our talents, our possibilities, and our lives are all the property of other men.
We are intellectual prostitutes.'
RICHARD M. COHAN, Senior Producer of CBS political news said:
"We are going to impose OUR AGENDA on the coverage by dealing with issues and
subjects that WE choose to deal with."
RICHARD SALANT, former President of CBS News stated: "Our
job is to give people not what they want, but what WE decide they ought to have."
What is their "agenda"? What type of "news"
do they believe we, the American people, - THE COMMON HERD, "...OUGHT to have?"
Here is the answer:
NORMAN THOMAS - For many years the U.S. Socialist Presidential
candidate proclaimed: "The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But
under the name of "liberalism" they will adopt every fragment of the socialist
program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing what
happened."
The world, finally including even the balky American public, is
"being rapidly educated into overcoming limited patriotism" and accepting
"United Nations solutions to common global problems," said Henry
Kissinger."
